Windows Mobile 7 now and Pink phone later – reports the Wall Street Journal

The on again and off again news about Windows Mobile 7, Pink phones, and the likes may finally simmer as the Wall Street Journal sheds some light on the matter. According to them, Microsoft plans on publicly showcasing its new mobile operating system to the attendees at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona on Monday. Their source comes from “people familiar with the matter” and goes on to say that “the operating system sports a revamped user interface that resembles the look of Microsoft’s Zune HD music player.” Aside from all the talking pointing to Windows Mobile 7, there is a handset in the works that is aimed for teenagers – which is codenamed Pink. This Pink phone will actually be the successor to the T-Mobile Sidekick with its youth-oriented software and services powered by Danger – of course, it’ll emphasize on social networking applications. Japan’s Sharp Corp. is manufacturing the Pink phone and is expected to be sold internationally by Verizon Wireless and Vodafone Group PLC as early as spring. Now the Pink phone won’t be unveiled during MWC and we will have to wait on a later date to witness an announcement. Still, news about Windows Mobile 7 should really get enough people excited at what Microsoft has planned for the event.

I had to recently wipe out my Windows Vista and re-install it with XP because it became too virus infested and completely failed. Now I am looking into how I can prevent these issues. I love to download fonts, but I don’t exactly want to pay $20 for them. I used to use DaFont.com and I loved it, but now I’ve been looking at reviews and such to make sure. There’s only good reviews, but I can’t be sure those are legit. I know Yahoo! Answers isn’t exactly the Library of Congress when it comes to this stuff but I would really appreciate a second opinion. **So what I’m asking is whether or not DaFont.com is virus free? Also, is 1001FreeFonts.com virus safe as well? Thank you.** santoramaa

Can you believe this story from Denver?
I just saw this story and had to share it with all of you.
This poor woman, just can’t believe that this actually happens in this day and age, what a shame.
I just thought it was important to share.
(CNN) — Three police cars pulled into Christina FourHorn’s front yard one afternoon while working from home just before she was supposed to pick up her daughter at school. The officers had a warrant for her arrest.
“What do you mean robbery?” FourHorn remembers asking the officers. Her only brushes with the law had been a few speeding tickets.
She was locked up in a Colorado jail. They took her clothes and other belongings and handed her an oversize black-and-white striped uniform. She protested for five days, telling jailers the arrest was a mistake. Finally, her husband borrowed enough money to bail her out.
“They wouldn’t tell me the details,” she said.
Later, it became clear that FourHorn was right, that Denver police had arrested the wrong woman. Police were searching for Christin Fourhorn, who lived in Oklahoma.
Their names were similar, and Christina FourHorn, a mother with no criminal record living in Sterling, Colorado, had been caught in the mix-up.
